Uvinie LubeckiFounder and CEO, Leading Through Connection
Uvinie Lubecki knows difficult times in ways most people don’t - she grew up in conflict zones in Nigeria and the Middle East. Her experiences inspired her to eventually become a compassion expert, and dedicate her work to bringing people together. She is the Founder of Leading Through Connection, an organization that trains leaders in compassionate leadership.
Uvinie began her career at the World Health Organization in Darfur, Sudan and later went on to craft health technology policy for the US Department of Health and Human Services. She worked with executive teams of large health systems as a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting, incubated startup businesses at Aetna, and became the head of strategy for RelayHealth, a business unit of McKesson.
While at McKesson, Uvinie discovered the power and need for compassionate leadership, and how this inner work can transform leaders to be more connected and effective.
She left to study how to translate compassion and contemplatives into leadership behaviors and became the managing director of Dalai Lama Fellows, a leadership development organization at the University of Virginia. Uvinie holds an MPH from the Harvard University and a BA in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University.
