Our Birds of a Feather dinner program is vital to the cultivation of our community!

On Thursday evening, we're encouraging conference participants to host dinner parties for other attendees, to explore a topic that is most alive and engaging for you. These dinners are aimed to engage with your fellow participants in conversation while cultivating connection and community at Wisdom 2.0.

Interested in attending a Birds of a Feather dinner?

  • Birds of a Feather dinners will be hosted at various restaurants in the San Francisco area. Please see the description for specific time & location information, and click the button under each session to read the full details of each dinner.

  • All dinners are on Thursday, April 25th, 2024.

  • Sign up to attend a dinner by adding your name and contact information on the open-access Google Docs linked below.

  • Your dinner host will be responsible for communicating any changes/updates to those who have signed up. If you have specific questions about the dinner, please reach out to the host directly. These are fully attendee-led events!

  • Please do not share these sign-ups sheets with those who are not attending Wisdom 2.0 2024. These events are exclusively available for registered conference attendees.

  • All attendees are responsible for paying for their meal - hosts do not cover the costs, nor does Wisdom 2.0.

    In an era where society is increasingly interconnected yet seemingly divided, understanding the roles that race and religion play in shaping our consciousness is more important than ever. This dinner will serve as a platform for open, respectful dialogue, encouraging participants to share insights from their diverse backgrounds and disciplines. By examining how our racial and religious identities impact our perceptions and interactions, we can begin to uncover the underlying unity that connects us all.

    Our yoga & meditation community has struggled to stay connected using the standard combination of Instagram. WhatsApp & Partiful. When social networking pivoted to social media, our feeds became full of brands & influencers instead of people we actually know. But we know that filling our minds and spending time with people who have a practice of their own provides support for our own practice.

  • Mindful Sexuality in the AI Age (OPENED)

    Technology is changing everything, including how we find intimacy and connect with others. But no matter how advanced AI gets, we're still human beings with human needs and desires. This collaborative dinner is a chance for us to get real about navigating the world of sex, dating, and relationships in the digital age. No experts, no agendas - just an open, respectful dialogue between people from all walks of life.

  • Exploring The Essentials In Modern Motherhood (OPENED)

    Open-curiosity and connection are what’s for dinner! Join this warm, inclusive table for working mamas open to building community. Open to all who are raising children now, including stepmoms, adoptive and foster moms and every other kind of mama. We welcome the spectrum of genders within motherhood, including trans women, cis women, and nonbinary and gender expansive people who feel supported in a space that centers working motherhood.

  • Pride Party! (OPENED)

    To quote drag visionary RuPaul: “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” This dinner is for all LGBTQIA2S+ members and allies. Let’s laugh and kiki, while we solve the world's snafus and lift each other up in community.

    What would an economy based on contribution look like? How would value flow through the system?     I did a Forty | Forty-A travel journey to forty countries to discover forty new things about life and it did not disappoint. When people ask me what my biggest piece of gratitude is, it's that I got to do a journey like this. I met amazing people, I learned how to be resilient, I lived to experience, not to accomplish. It sharped my leadership style at work, it pushed me to do things I was terrified to do, and it helped me be the person I am today. I'd love to have a dinner around the table storytelling on how traveling changed lives.

Come join us for dinner at Burma Love - Downtown where we will admire the pagodas on the restaurant's mural of Burma and have a discussion about various aspects of devotion.

    How do you bring mindfulness into your work as a leader or entrepreneur? What does it look like to build teams and companies based on the foundations of love and compassion? How can we create environments that are healthier and also lead to better performance? In what ways do conventional / current ways of working need to shift to enable this?     During our dinner, we will dive deep into the discussion of the science behind consciousness and creativity. This topic includes factual information from fields ranging from neuroscience to psychology. We will discuss how we can utilize our own consciousness and human experience to expand our abilities to recognize and apply our innate creative capacity in matters of business, artistic endeavors, education, friendships, and home life.

  • Silent Spaces In Urban Centers (CLOSED)

    My topic is how do you create secular silent spaces within urban centers for people to find inner stillness using innovative digital meditation technology and solutions. Meditation studios are few and far between due to high rental costs in cities with many of them closing during COVID. How can meditation spaces be made available to those who live busy stressful lives who are in much need of some inner peace.
